Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of LV Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
The Scriptures Inspired
The Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God for faith and conduct.
The One true god
God is eternally existent and revealed as a Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).
The deity of jesus christ
Jesus is the eternal Son of God who lived a sinless human life, died, and rose bodily.
The Fall of man
When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God. This caused them to fall out of fellowship with God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.
sanctification
A lifelong, progressive process of separating from evil and becoming more like Christ.
The Church and its mission
The body of Christ exists to evangelize the world, worship God, and build up believers.
the ordinances
Practice of water baptism by total immersion and Holy Communion.
the final realities
Belief in the final judgment, the millennial reign of Christ, and new heavens and a new earth.
